Join Gradfood for an evening with Thomas Ellrott, the director of the Institute for Nutrition & Psychology at Georg-August-University Goettingen Medical Center in Germany. He will explore the psychology behind the trending new diets/eating styles like paleo, vegan, detox, gluten-free/lactose-free (without diagnosis) etc. For most followers either health or sustainability are the expected primary benefits. But there can be far more important secondary benefits in the digital age: social integration, creating a new family, individualization and the reduction of choice complexity.
Food and drink will be provided and it will be a nice opportunity to network with fellow grad students interested in food
