On Wednesday, August 8th, 2018, the Berkeley Haas EWMBA Association’s Alumni Relations team hosted the second part of the Student/Alumni “Summer Series”, with an alumni panel event focused on CleanTech. The event was held in Spieker Forum of Chou Hall on the Haas campus.
The wonderful panelists from Brightmark Energy, Stem, Siemens, and Facebook span different segments of CleanTech, from engineering to marketing to finance. They brought insightful perspective based on their prior industry experience from EnerNOC, Bloom Energy, PG&E, and SunPower.
Over 45 students, alumni, and guests were in attendance to hear the panelists cover topics such as:
- Simply, how would one define CleanTech?
- How does CleanTech differ from the tech industry we are familiar with in terms of pace of disruption and advancement?
- What financing models are most aligned with CleanTech innovation?
- What are the future trends in the industry, and where do the panelists see opportunities?
The EWMBA would like to give a special thanks to the amazing alumni panelists!
Also, a big thank you to the EWMBA Association’s VP of Alumni Relations, Corey Cunningham, Suzanne Currie and Michael Wong for organizing the event!
