IT'S A HIT! INAUGURAL DIVERSITY SUMMIT FOR WORKING PROFESSIONALS
On Saturday, October 28, the EWMBAA VPs of Diversity (Melanie Akwule, Badier Velji, Brian Lewis) hosted the first-ever Diversity Summit catered specifically to prospective EW and EMBA students. The inspiring day included keynote addresses from Dean Rich Lyons and Haas Chief of Staff Marco Lindsey, as well as an array of informative panels featuring current students and alumni.
The event was a HUGE SUCCESS, with over 70 prospective students in attendance. The inception of this event was entirely student-driven, and would not have come to fruition if it were not for the passion and dedication of the Diversity VPs and Co-President Candice Knoll.
THANK YOU, Melanie, Badier, Brian, all of the student volunteers, and the Admissions and Program offices for your hard work in furthering the Diversity cause for the EW and EMBA programs!
Special shout-out to Melanie Akwule, who not only took the lead in organizing the Summit, but served as a fantastic Mistress-of-Ceremonies throughout the day.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!
Interested in becoming more involved in Diversity initiatives? Reach out to Candice Knoll or our current Diversity VPs for more info on how to be involved (and/or apply to be a VP of Diversity on the 2018 EWMBAA Team!)
