The Haas Healthcare Association (HHA) is a student-run organization of MBA candidates and other UC Berkeley graduates focusing on the business of healthcare. HHA aims to both educate students on the multi-faceted nature of healthcare and connect students with industry alumni and professionals. HHA’s aims to become the healthcare hub at UC Berkeley, strengthening both its depth and breadth across all healthcare topics. We not only host our own events but also help connect our members to the plethora of healthcare events in the bay area including outside healthcare speaker series, socials with other healthcare clubs, and participating in competitions like the Health Data Hackathon. HHA hopes to help students build a lifelong network within the healthcare space. Our marquee event, the HAAS BUSINESS of HEALTH CARE CONFERENCE, brings together 300 students, academics, and industry professionals into SF. The student-led conference continues to define what's at the forefront of healthcare challenges and includes high profile speakers, diverse panels, and networking opportunities. Click on the link above to find out more details about this year's conference which will focus on "Embracing Consumer Choice". Every year we will also host company presentations, company treks (anything from small startups to large biotechs), and our annual Healthcare Firm Night. Recent participants of our annual Healthcare Firm Night include:
With HHA members interested in a variety of healthcare professions, our summer internships (2012) shows our breadth of interest across the globe, everything from large traditional healthcare companies, to a CEO at a startup to even working at the Ministry of Health in India. While most internships were heavily concentrated in the SF bay area, many opportunities exist worldwide for our HHA members for those interested. |
