This week, Buildings and Places: The Real Estate Speaker Series focuses on the interaction of policy and affordable housing through a moderated discussion and Q&A with leaders seeking to improve housing affordability here in the Bay Area. The panel features Ann Silverberg, CEO of Related California Affordable's Northern California Division, one of the largest affordable housing developers in the Bay Area. Also on the panel is Marc Babsin, Principal at Emerald Fund, which is one of San Francisco's largest housing developers, focusing on dense infill development, and having developed over 5,000 housing units in the Bay Area. Darin Ranelletti, the third panel member, is the Policy Director for Housing Security for the City of Oakland, where he focuses on ways to ease Oakland's housing affordability crisis. The panel will be moderated by Haas alumnus Daniel Potter, who currently works in Community Development Finance for Union Bank. If you are interested in affordable housing or housing issues in the Bay Area, this is sure to be an engaging and informative discussion!
