Data Science Speaker Series: Data Science and E-Commerce with James Zuberi (eBay)
Registration is now closed (this event already took place).
E-commerce is a rapidly growing business model for many companies, and data availability helps these companies better understand their customers and business. Our speaker, James Zuberi, will discuss common analytical challenges that exist in e-commerce and what tools data scientists are using to overcome them - including card not present fraud, first conversion prediction, churn prediction and product graph.
James Zuberi is currently responsible for product insights at eBay, and was previously the director of data science at Touch of Modern, a leading e-commerce site for men. James received his PhD in Economics from UC Berkeley in 2013. Since completing his PhD studies, he has focused on quantitative roles for both tech and economic consulting firms.
