Food and Wine magazine recommends Chez Panisse's Late Night Steak Dinner as a great meal where "diners get a glass of house Zinfandel produced by Napa's Green & Red Vineyard and a 100-percent grass-fed steak from rancher Bill Niman, skillet-roasted in the classic French manner, with marrow butter melting on top and red-wine jus pooling all around. On the side are lacy-thin fried potatoes (more shoelace than shoestring) or onion rings, next to extremely tender and tiny watercress or arugula."
Note: no meal substitutions or modifications will be allowed for the Late Night Steak Dinner. The total meal cost is anticipated to be ~$36, with Food@Haas subsidizing $16 per person. Cancellations will not be accepted. Participants who purchase tickets but can no longer attend will be required to find a replacement or to pay a $50 fee (equivalent to Chez Panisse's per person cancellation charge).
