More information on the company:
Since Levi Strauss himself endowed 28 Berkeley scholarships in 1897, values have led Levi Strauss & Co. as it does business. The company has only built on that foundation since. In September 2017, Fortune magazine ranked the company #11 on its Change the World list. The company has a rich history of driving change including…
• Desegregating factories in the South and standing for civil rights
• Becoming the one of the first companies to offer domestic partner benefits
• Destigmatizing HIV/AIDS as executives educated people on the street in SF (while also contributing $30MM+ since the 1980s to combat the disease)
• Creating the apparel industry’s first comprehensive code of conduct to protect human rights and the environment
• Conducting the industry’s first environmental lifecycle assessment on a pair of jeans and then creating programs that reduce impacts on the planet
• Creating the renowned Worker Well-being program that raises the bar for investing in people and serves as a model others, like Target, are replicating

Levi’s is also coming for an on-campus presentation in early November; this is a perfect chance to network and learn what it’s like to work inside a company that is on the leading edge of operating responsibly.
