Baird Capital Overview
Founded in 1989, Baird Capital is a private equity firm that seeks to make venture capital, growth equity, and private equity investments in healthcare, technology-enabled services, human resource tech & services, industrial technology, pharma services, financial tech & services, and industrial solution sectors. The firm invests in B2B technology and services companies out of two distinct fund strategies a mid-stage venture capital fund focused on the mid-country and a lower middle market private equity fund that does growth equity and buyout investments in the US and UK.

Brett Tucker
Brett Tucker is a Partner with the Global Private Equity team. Brett joined Baird Capital in 2003 and spent his first four years at Baird working on U.S.-leveraged buyouts and then started and managed Baird Capital’s investing activities in Asia from 2008-2016. Prior to joining Baird Capital, Brett worked for a U.S.-China focused consulting firm providing investment advisory and market-entry strategy services to multinational clients seeking to expand their business in Asia. Brett also held operating, management and business development roles at private equity-owned technology services firm Telephia. Brett has led seven Baird Capital investments in the services sector and is a past or present board member at Azzur Group, Kindstar, Kedu, Vitalyst, ReMed, R2i, Talent Academy and Frontage. He earned a B.A. in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned an MBA from The Wharton School and an M.A. in international studies with a focus on East Asia from the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania.
