Almanac Beer Company is inviting all Haasies + SOs to a guided tour in their brewery in Alameda (651 W Tower Ave, Alameda, CA 94501). We will be meeting at 18:00 for some welcome drinks, with the tour starting at 18:30. After the tour (19:00), Almanac co-founders will participate in a Q&A with all of us. The company was founded in 2011 by Damian Fagan and Jesse Friedman. They are pioneers in the barrel-aged sour beer category, with 8,400 BBLS of beer produced in 2018 and 17,000 BBLS expected for 2019. One hundred percent of their brewing, aging, packaging and distribution happens in their brewery in Alameda. Almanac currently employees a team of 38, with one of their employees being a former Haasie (Walther Lobato, class of 1998).
