This first in what is planned to be a series of "Wine 101" courses spread throughout the rest of the year, which are designed to improve your basic wine tasting skillz. This first one will be designed to help anyone who thinks, "you want me to distinguish between two Bordeaux Blends? I can barely tell you the difference between Merlot and Cab Sav!". We'll taste the 5 most produced varietals around the world and work to get a basic understanding of what they look, smell and taste like, what they tend to go with, where they are generally grown and whether you like them or not. We'll also have blind tasting at the end of the session to see if you have learnt anything (we do love to be tested, don't we? We are MBAs after all...)
We're charging $5 to cover the cheeseboard and ensure people actually show, but all the wine will be provided by the club and will be good stuff, so this will be seriously worth it.
Looking forward to learning with you!
