About Alissa
Alissa is a Japanese social entrepreneur, youngest awardee of Forbes Japan 100 Women in 2019, 100 Top Fame of the year 2021, New Culturepreneur 30 in 2023, and Business Insider Japan's "Game Changer 2019".
Born in 1992 in NY. While a student at Waseda University School of Law, Alissa participated in the launch of a brand specializing in preserved flowers and grew it into the number one brand on Rakuten, Japan's No.1 E-commerce platform. After graduation, Alissa worked for a foreign-affiliated manufacturer as the first marketer with a new graduate and was in charge of CRM. Later, Alissa helped launch a new brand at a Japanese sake venture and a new business at Fujimaki Department Store, a Japan-themed boutique. Alissa also worked as a new business development manager for a trading company specializing in Israel, achieving record sales in six months.
Lost a relative living in the US to diabetes. In Japan, there is medical evidence that seaweed is effective for diabetes, but it is not easily accessible in the world, which led Alissa to found the Marine Plant-Based Technology Company in September 2019. With the theme of the world's
most advanced blue carbon and longevity and marine plants processing technology, Cashi Cake inc. develops food products, alternative plastic containers, and medical capsules.
One of our most well-known brands is Misaky.Tokyo, which combines marine plants and a Japanese-inspired confection. Misaky Tokyo has collaborated with Kim Kardashian, who has 1.9M TikTok followers, gained over 1.4M followers and 650M times in total number of views on Tiktok, and has catered the Academy and Emmy Awards pre-events.
Plans to launch OoMee, the world's first functional seaweed beverage, in 2024, which was selected as a finalist in the best new plant forward product at 2023 Expo West NEXTY awards, the largest food trade show in the U.S.
Currently, Alissa is active as an influencer in both Japan and the US as an individual. She is the first Japanese woman to be selected for the U40 Program of the Milken Institute, the largest economic conference in the US.
