Details

San Francisco’s Bayview District will soon welcome hundreds of housing units along the T-Third Street light rail corridor with the completion of two new projects: Bridge Housing’s Armstrong Place and Holliday Development’s 5800 Third Street. Please join representatives from their development and design teams for a tour and in-depth discussion of this emerging San Francisco neighborhood.

Armstrong Place

Speakers:
Kevin Griffith, Senior Project Manager, BRIDGE Housing Corporation
Kevin Wilcox, Partner/Architect, David Baker + Partners Architects

Armstrong Place consists of two developments created by BRIDGE Housing in San Francisco’s Bayview District. These developments provide 240 housing units with a variety of affordable housing options and represent a significant achievement in meeting the goals embodied in Bayview’s Redevelopment Plan. The 3.1 acre site was formerly a light manufacturing facility and warehouse. These developments, along with Geraldine Johnson Manor and 5800 Third Street, are helping to establish new high density living options and community revitalization along the new MUNI T-Line and bringing significant new investment in to this long overlooked corner of San Francisco. Both developments include a large investment from the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency.

5800 Third Street

Speakers: TBD

The 5800 Third Street condo development is one of San Francisco’s exciting new developments located on the Third Street corridor. The development features 137 residential units, a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom condominium units located at Carroll Station on the new Third Street light rail. In addition to the residential units, the development features 5 commercial spaces, including a 15,000 square foot Fresh & Easy grocery store. The Fresh & Easy concept combines Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods – with lower prices and a large “ready to serve” component. Developer Rick Holliday of Holliday Development has also arranged to open a new Crossroads Café at 5800 Third Street, similar to Delancey Street’s original Crossroads Café in South Beach. Additional amenities include a community room, BBQ deck, ample outdoor courtyard space, a dog-washing station, a “barking lot” dog run, and a bike lounge. The sales office at 5800 Third Street has opened and is offering homes starting at the low $300,000s and 3.5% FHA financing is available.

Transportation: Street parking available, across the street from MUNI T-Line Carroll Station
