The MBA Association is the student-elected representatives of the full-time MBA program.

We have a fiduciary responsibility to our classmates through management of MBAA dues, are the primary conduit between students and staff & faculty as well as external communities, and work to improve the Berkeley-Haas experience for current students, prospective students and alumni.

Officers serve from January of their first year through December of their second year.

The Mission of the 1GLI (First Gen Low-Income) club at Haas is to promote, retain, and empower 1GLI students across Berkeley Haas’s ecosystem to increase visibility, build community, and share experiences that will empower our students to have a sense of belonging.

Membership Benefits
We define first-generation graduate students as those whose parents or guardians attained less than a bachelor’s degree. Similarly, graduate students who grew up in low-income households, underserved, and under-resourced backgrounds—whether in the U.S. or abroad—are considered traditionally "low-income." However, we recognize that the first-generation low-income identity is complex and may also include students who:

- Have one parent or guardian who attended college and one who did not
- Have parents who attended university in another country but had to navigate the American higher education system on their own
- Have parents with some college education but who did not graduate
- Did not grow up low-income but are first-generation college students
- Are not first-generation but were raised in a low-income household

While this definition may not encompass every experience, we invite you to join our community if you identify with these experiences and could benefit from fellowship with others, or if you wish to be an ally.

BERC@Haas is the business school arm of the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative (BERC) (http://berc.berkeley.edu/). Our goal is to make UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business the nation's leading business school for energy and resources research, entrepreneurship, and career development.

Our activities focus on expanding curriculum offerings, strengthening the school's alumni and professional network, and promoting energy and resources-related events and discussions. We work directly with account managers and career coaches from the Haas Career Services Office to develop and maintain relationships with leading and emerging firms. We also regularly organize treks to local companies and tours of local energy facilities.

The mission of the Haas Beer Club is threefold. First, we endeavor to strengthen the Haas spirit by creating opportunities for our members to enjoy each other's company while enjoying a tasty brew. Second, we aim to connect students and alumni with Beer Industry professionals in order to strengthen the Haas brand and generate networking opportunities. Finally, we strive to educate our members and the Haas community at large about the finer points of beer drinking. As home to the first Micro Brewery in the United States, the Bay area has much to offer in terms beer culture. From the brewing process, to the tasting methods, to varieties and selections, we want our members to appreciate all aspects of a beverage that is often underappreciated.

The Haas Beer Club will host speakers from breweries large and small to provide salient industry prospective and networking opportunities. The club will also host a series of brewery tours designed to expose our members to the many fantastic breweries right here in northern California. For those who are interested in the art of home brewing, we hope to organize educational events that will explore the home brewing process and produce tangible (and drinkable) results. The Beer Industry Club will play an active roll in the Haas social scene through involvement in Consumption Functions, Happy Hours, and new admit events. Q@Haas serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQIA+) MBA community, including partners and allies, at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Q@Haas has four main goals to help accomplish this mission:

1. To build and support lasting connections between and among Haas' LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

2. To enhance the professional and personal development of LGBT students at Haas.
