Abby Scott's profile photo

Abby Scott

Abby Scott brings rich experience in career management, executive education, emerging initiatives and corporate relations to her new role as Assistant Dean of Career Management and Corporate Partnerships. She has been successful in building strong teams and developing corporate relationships throughout her fifteen years at Berkeley-Haas. Abby spent eleven years in the MBA Career Management Group at Haas and for the last six of them, served as the Executive Director. Under Abby's leadership, the group was ranked 4th nationally by Business Week in 2010 on the metric of recruiter satisfaction with the career center.

Abby currently serves as Director of Corporate Relations for Berkeley-Haas. Prior to this role, Abby worked on several emerging initiatives and served as the Director of Custom Programs for Berkeley's Executive Education group where she led the team as interim Assistant Dean during the year prior to becoming a separate 501c3 entity. Before joining Berkeley-Haas, she spent ten years in the technology industry. She has experience in marketing, product management and sales positions for Intel, Electronic Arts, and Embark.com (acquired by the Princeton Review). Abby was a recipient of the Haas Outstanding Staff award, a Berkeley Excellence in Management award, and the Chancellor's Outstanding Staff award in 2010. Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Lara Klein

Lara Klein is committed to supporting the EWMBA students and all Haas alumni in making their next career move, whether itÔÇÖs advancing to a higher level role or making a career transition. Prior to joining Haas, Lara spent the past five years coaching the working professional MBA populations at NYU Stern School of Business, helping students and alumni to advance their careers and make transitions in a variety of industries and functions including consulting, finance, marketing, media, entertainment, technology, and healthcare/pharma. Lara spent the first 15+ years of her career in recruiting, career development, and other HR roles across a range industries, including companies such as Sony, International Creative Management, and Sanyo North America (now Panasonic). She has a B.A. in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from San Diego State University. She is a graduate of Accomplishment Coaching, an accredited coaching program in New York.

Jenn Bridge

In her role as the Senior Director of Employer Engagement and Operations, Jenn oversees the employer relations, industry readiness, business development, and operations teams including the technology, data, marketing and communications strategies for the MBA Career Management group. Over her nine years at Haas as a Relationship Manager then Director of Recruiting, she partnered with employers to develop personalized branding strategies and advised students on recruiting strategies for a handful of industries including consulting, financial services, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, retail, design strategy and real estate.

Jenn joined Haas after spending thirteen years in the retail and consulting industries. As the San Francisco based MBA recruiting manager for Strategy&, she was responsible for all aspects of recruiting MBA candidates, including developing on-campus brand building strategies and marketing programs that supported their recruiting efforts across multiple top MBA schools. Jenn also spent eleven years at Gap Inc. where she held various positions for the Gap, Banana Republic and International divisions. Jenn holds a BA in technical writing and marketing from San Francisco State University.

Outside of Haas, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, pursuing her interest in interior architecture and design and volunteering at her daughter's school.

Luke Kreinberg's profile photo

Luke Kreinberg

Luke Kreinberg primarily serves Executive MBA students and MBA alumni, specializing in helping students to move forward in their careers. He helps them gain clarity about objectives as well as identify the competencies they need to flourish in their professional lives. Some of the companies he's coached at include: Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, and Yahoo. Luke graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Davis with a BA in international relations. He received his Coaching Certification from New Ventures West in San Francisco. In his former life, Luke served as a partner in a boutique search firm and developed learning curricula for emerging technology firms. He is the author of The Book of Goals: Achievements, Plans, and Dreams of a Lifetime which has sold 100,000+ copies. Luke swims and gardens, but not at the same time.

Kay Dawson

Kay joins the Haas CMG having honed her MBA career management skills at HEC Paris and Chicago Booth. She has been a career coach, business developer, relationship manager and an MBA recruiter, so brings this comprehensive knowledge of the diverse needs of the CMG stakeholders to the Operations Team. She studied languages at the University of Cambridge and worked as a headhunter before spending 12 years with GE managing recruitment and operations for undergraduate and MBA leadership programs. Kay is a British citizen who came to the US 3 years ago and is doing her best to see as much of the country as possible whilst amassing half marathon finisher medals.

Hoyt Ng

As a coach and educator, Hoyt believes the question is the most important tool for the coach and the student. He helps the student discover their own solutions and options to move their way forward. Hoyt has a bias for action and helps people get out of their heads and get real data. In addition, he has extensive international experience having worked closely with people in Asia and Latin America.

Prior to Haas, Hoyt Ng spent 12 years at DreamWorks Animation as Head of Training and Curriculum for the studios - from California to Shanghai to Bangalore. Prior to these roles he has spent a lifetime at the intersection of the arts, technology and people. Before DreamWorks he worked in various roles from product manager and engineer to visual effects artist and game designer in the virtual reality, television, film and video game industry. He has a BS in mechanical and materials engineering from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Cal State. Hoyt takes a practical and science driven approach to education and believes in a student centered focus.

Heidi Weller

Throughout her career, Heidi has worked across sectors, and with organizations ranging from global businesses to Bay Area start-ups. Concurrently, for ten of the last 12 years she has worked with Berkeley-Haas as an Adjunct Adviser and Coach, providing full-time, evening weekend, and executive MBA students and alumni support with respect to professional growth strategies, interview and personal storytelling skills, and strategic decision-making. She has also developed and delivered workshops, webinars, and simulation exercises for Haas students and corporate clients, and served as both a facilitator and panelist for the Women in Management annual conferences.

In her most recent full time role, Heidi was the Managing Director/COO for The Representation Project, where she worked closely with CEO Jennifer Siebel Newsom to oversee all aspects of management and operations for this $2.6m film, education, partnership and communications organization. Her responsibilities included enhancing infrastructure, communications, and process development; strategic guidance, resource allocation, and cross-functional integration planning; guiding the Board of DirectorsÔÇÖ development; and hiring and developing organizational staff.

Prior to joining The Representation Project, Heidi served as an elected Trustee on her communityÔÇÖs Board of Education. In 2012, she was Director of Business Development for Emerge Financial Wellness, an award-winning B-Corporation. In another startup role with The Savvy Source, LLC. Heidi helped launch a nationwide education website. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant with Deloitte, CapGemini, ICF and PRC Environmental Management supporting both public and private sector clients. Heidi earned her BA in Political Economy at UC Berkeley, where she rowed crew, and her MBA at Yale.
