Kitchen Table Advisors Event - Volunteer Opportunity
Kitchen Table Advisors, a nonprofit that provides business advising to small/medium organic and sustainable farms, needs volunteers for next month’s "Grazing at the Kitchen Table" fundraising event on Thursday, September 22. The event will again be located at DogPatch WineWorks in San Francisco. View the detailed list of volunteer dates and tasks on the volunteer application form. Applications due September 10. (If you need C4C volunteering hours, this will count!)
Farm-to-Haas Offering: Autumn Lunch + Pumpkin Pie Making Class
Saturday, October 22: 2 - 5pm, BVR Farm, Sebastopol, California
Farmcation in collaboration with BVR Farm is excited to announce an upcoming Autumn Lunch and Pie Making Class! This celebratory day will begin with a tour of BVR's gardens and creekside meadows, followed by a scrumptious outdoor vegetarian lunch curated by Chef Matt, who has been cooking in fine San Francisco restaurants for a decade. Following lunch, learn to make pumpkin pie from scratch using BVR's own sugar pie pumpkins, and enjoy a freshly baked slice. When you leave, take a BVR sugar pie pumpkin with make your own Autumn pie at home.
This is the perfect event for a date, a friends escape, or a family adventure -- leave the farm inspired, enriched, and ready for the holiday season!
