And for the final installment of the "Why Haas?" blog series, we'll highlight the Haas Tech Summer Internship Application and Interview process.
First and foremost, we help each other prepare. With such a huge student group interested in technology, the Haas Technology Club sets up panels with second years who interned at various companies, helps promote the latest tech news through our social media channels, and uses the Career Services resources and contacts to disperse information on available positions.
In preparing for technology interviews, it’s important to focus on your passion and overall understanding of the market and trends, your knowledge of that specific company and their products, and your professionalism and ability to tackle complex problems with limited resources. Depending on the role and company, you’ll be asked to focus on varied skills and experiences and address product-specific cases. Your interest and understanding, strengthened through Haas Technology Club events and other activities in your first semester, will shine through in your interviews throughout the spring.
Haas has a great pool of resources available, from a log of past interview questions to lists of alumni who work at each company. Students work together to prepare and the available opportunities are extensive, starting in January and continuing to appear throughout the spring.
