From assembling the right team to driving strategic growth, the post-acquisition phase defines whether a deal was worth doing in the first place. Robin knows this firsthand. After graduating from Stanford GSB, he launched a search fund, acquired NCFDD, and spent seven years as CEO scaling the company from 50 to 350 university members and growing to 250 employees across the US and Canada. Following a successful exit, he joined Relay Investments as an Operating Partner, where he now advises and invests in searcher-CEOs navigating that same journey.
Robin Mohapatra is an Operating Partner at Relay Investments, one of the most active search fund investors in the US. Robin launched his search fund in 2015 after graduating from Stanford GSB, acquired NCFDD, and served as CEO for seven years. Under his leadership, NCFDD grew from 50 to 350 university members and scaled to 250 employees and contractors across the US and Canada. After a successful exit, he joined Relay to support the next generation of searcher-CEOs. Prior to ETA, Robin spent a decade in financial services at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup across New York and London, and holds an MS from Stanford GSB and dual BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins
