Dear First_Name,

Have you ever been in a situation where someone asked you about something that you should definitely have known, but you'd somehow forgotten? Part of the reason we have quizzes, papers, and projects is to help us consolidate and etch new knowledge into our minds to apply in our careers and future courses. And what makes Haas prestigious is the rigor of our coursework and the high standards we hold ourselves to. We're in the thick of our classes now. And it's not easy, because as EWs we have full-time work, commutes, and other lives. But we will get through it, because we are students always! Keep in mind that the culmination of this program isn't just adding three letters to the end of our name. Instead it's that we'll have grown, transformed, and become leaders that other people admire and respect. The defining leadership principles are what set us apart. We'll get out of our MBA what we put in. So from students to students, we urge you to keep working hard and remind you to honor our Code of Conduct. Cite any words that are not your own, don't use resources that aren't expressly allowed, and do your best work. Also, if you become aware of any conduct violations (academic or otherwise), please report it and reach out to your professor and/or the program office. We can support you too. Finally, if you have opinions, experience, or suggestions on integrating the use of AI into our education, please fill out the AI in Education at Haas Survey from the Academic Affairs VPs.

In addition to academics, we want to offer you occasions to network! This week we have announcements from our VPs of Club Relations and Alumni Relations. Take the opportunity to get to know other Haasies with similar interests. Meet and learn from alumni who came before us!

Finally, thanks to everyone who showed your Cal spirit and participated at the tailgate party and/or attended the football game this past Saturday. What a great game; we prevailed over SDSU 31-10! Cal is off to a 3-0 start!

Go Bears!
