Join us for our first community group meeting this Sunday evening!
For those of you who weren't at our kick-off dinner on Monday, several of us had expressed a desire for a forum in which members of HCF could come together regularly to share and grow together. In response, we are starting a community group gathering. And we wanted to diving in head first and getting started this weekend.
What is a community group?
A community group (AKA small group, life group, cell group, [insert other name here]) is simply a group of people that gather together regularly to encounter God and live out the Gospel together. We are hoping that in this group, we might find a true sense of belonging and a safe place to go deeper together. We don't have a script for what our meetings will be. We hope that the meetings will take shape based on the needs and desires of group members.
Do I have to join the community group to be a part of HCF?
Not at all. HCF has many different events and ways you can be invovled. Furthermore, some of you may also already have other sources of community. These meetings are simply one opportunity for HCF members who are looking for a source of accountability with other believers in the Haas community.
What do I need to prepare?
Nothing, really. Just be willing to be open (perhaps not on the first night, but eventually) and be ready to engage.
What if I can't attend on Sunday nights?
Please email me (james_cho@mba.berkeley.edu), and I'll take note. If there's enough desire for a second (or third) group, we'd be more than willing to create them.
If you're planning to come, then please RSVP below. It's just helpful to know how many people we should expect. If you have any questions, send them my way.
