Announcement of the Food@Haas Trip!
We've communicated to many of you that we were planning to do a trip in collaboration with the Sports Business Club to Portland. Since Nike is unable to accommodate a visit this semester, that trip will happen next semester.

However, we have some great news! We'll still be running a trip...to sunny Los Angeles! Come with us to eat delicious Mexican and Asian food, hang out on the beach, and check out some cool food businesses. This will be a great trip for both people interested in food careers, as well as those just there to have fun. The trip will be October 20-23rd. Look out for an email this week that will announce sign-ups at 8AM this Wednesday Sept. 21.

LOCAL CONNECTION

Your Farm-to-Haas team put together a guide to local food, from Farmers Markets to Community Supported Agriculture (CSAs). Check it out here! Support local farmers AND eat deliciously fresh food!

Join your Farm-to-Haas team for a delicious Fall farm lunch and pumpkin pie making class on BVR Farm!

This Autumn celebration will begin with a farm tour of BVR's gardens and creekside meadows, followed by a scrumptious vegetarian lunch curated by Chef Matt, who has been cooking in fine San Francisco restaurants for the past decade. Following lunch, learn how to make pumpkin pie from scratch using BVR's own Sugar Pie pumpkins, and then enjoy a freshly baked slice. When you go, take a BVR Sugar Pie pumpkin home to make your own Autumn pie. Leave the farm inspired, enriched, and ready for the holiday season!

We will organize carpools as the event approaches. Plan to leave Berkeley around 9am and return around 4pm.

We are working with a small farm for this event. Ticket sales will be finalized ONE WEEK before the event. After 10/15, tickets will be transferable but not refundable.
