Dear First_Name,

If you're taking core classes, we hope you're enjoying your fall break. While you were relaxing, we chose a name for our newsletter: The Evening & Weekend Wire (or The EW Wire)! Thanks to all of the Committee VPs who submitted suggestions!

Just a couple notes from us. If you don't already know about the Haas School of Business app, please download it to your phone! There's an iOS version and a Google Android version. In the UC Berkeley Haas Hub, you can find all of the events at Haas, as well as news and newsletters from us. Register for events or express interest. You'll receive a mobile ticket (with QR code) for any events you register for. It's a great way to find out about everything happening around campus and online, and stay connected with your fellow Haasies!

As the student association of the EWMBAA we are here to serve you and improve the student experience. Please take a moment to complete our EWMBAA survey (at the end of this newsletter). Also, as a reminder please send any feedback you may have for the Program Office.

Announcement: Haas Winter Gala is Moving to Spring!

This year, we’re challenging the status quo by moving the annual Haas Winter Gala to the spring. With so many events competing for winter weekends, we’ve decided to embrace a new timeframe with fewer scheduling conflicts, giving everyone a chance to enjoy the festivities without the rush.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosting a Haas Prom in the spring! Inspired by iconic proms from popular culture – think 10 Things I Hate About You, Mean Girls, or Back to the Future – we want to give everyone, especially our international students, a chance to experience the classic American prom night.

Keep an eye out for more details coming your way. It’s going to be great!
