On behalf of the exec team, we would like to apologize for the mistake in the last Newsletter. We would like to congratulate our 2018 VP’s of Diversity: Melanie Akwule, Cora Puliatch, Shaun Hundle.

I hope you all had a great time at the Dean's Scotch Tasting this past weekend. Melanie and I saw quite a few of you there. Dean Lyons's term ends in June 2018, and the search for a new dean is well underway. I hope we continue to have events similar to last weekend.

Admissions

Hi All! March 3 is Haas Interview Day (HID). HID is the day when we invite round 2 applicants from outside the Bay Area to come to campus to interview, visit a class, and mingle with students. If you see prospective students feel free to say hi!

Individual admissions interviews, class visits, and tours will be taking place. It's also an opportunity to grow our base outside of the Bay Area, so we will be holding a lunchtime panel.

Hi All! If you haven’t done so already, REGISTER HERE for the 16th annual Berkeley Haas Celebration in San Francisco. The event will be held at Gap Inc.’s HQ at 2 Folsom Street on Wednesday, March 14 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

For those of you who attended the Alumni event in Menlo Park, we had a great event and a strong showing from all three MBA programs (alums and current students). We would highly recommend signing up for the San Francisco event!

Holi is a Hindu spring festival also known as the “festival of colors”. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and a festive day to meet others and play and laugh! SO, pull out those dispensable clothes and get ready to celebrate this beautiful festival with your favorite Bollywood music. HAASIES, get ready to get MESSY!

Across the globe, investors are increasingly striving for a better world—whether by protecting the environment, promoting fair labor practices, ensuring economic sustainability, or encouraging good corporate stewardship.
