About WIL Events

The Women in Leadership club hosts events that promote the professional development, community and wellness of our members.  In addition to our conference, we have a number of annual events like the Women's Workshop or our Wine Country Retreat that have become WIL traditions.

Professional Development

WIL Conference:  The annual Women in Leadership Conference is the longest running student-organized conference at the Haas School of Business, attracting over 400 participants, including students, alumni and professionals.
WIL Breakouts at the Haas Diversity Workshop:  The Haas Diversity Workshop is a day-long event for prospective students who want to learn more about the value of an MBA degree. WIL hosts two breakouts for interested students and partners. Learn more about the Diversity Workshop here: http://mba.haas.berkeley.edu/community/diversity_workshops.html
Professional Development Series:  Speaking events and workshops to aid the professional development of WIL members. Frequent topics include: Personal presentation, salary negotiations, work-life balance, leadership skill building and interview preparation.

Wine Country Retreat:   The school year kicks off with a fun and relaxing retreat in beautiful wine country.  The event includes breakfast, team building activities, winery tours, lunch, tasting, dinner, and transportation. This is a banner event that is always sold out!

Alumni and Student Mixers: Regular mixer events that bring together current and past WIL members in the bay area.

Haas Faculty/Staff Mixers: Opportunity to interact informally with the Haas female faculty.

Small Group Dinners: WIL members have opportunity to bond over tasty food and drinks.

Community Service:   As active members of both the Haas and the surrounding Bay Area communities, WIL members join to volunteer services once each semester at a local not-for-profit organization focused on women’s issues.
